If only for 3 of the songs, this CD is worth the artists weight in gold. Nostalgia, Rithm and all that passion with which Chirinos interprets and feels each piece, are all present in this wonderful collection. My favorite songs "Medias Negras", "Oxigeno" and "Yo No Quiero Piedras En Mi Camino" together with the most recent hits "Cuba Libre" and "La Jinetera" ... make this cd an outstanding value. Buy it, enjoy it but most importantly FEEL IT!

I happened to catch the special on PBS and was introduced to this wonderful musician. I ordered the greatest hits to get more of the flavor of this guy. Listening to the music which describes wonderful stories of the colorful people in his world who he demonstrates powerful heartfelt feelings for...and the discriptions of his life, in effect, and autobiography (?) in song. I can't get over how powerful this comes across and words fail me in describing his desire for the world to "be free". Thank you Willie Chirino...the world is a better place because of folks like you! I also want to thank PBS for bringing his music to the attention of so many who had not experienced Mr. Chirino's charm.

I saw Willy Chirino on PBS May or June celebrating his 35th., year in music. I always liked his music, so naturally decided to see the special. The music was fantastic, and, decided to get a CD, and, unfortunately most stores in my area do not carry a full Latin line. I always can count on Amazon, and found what I was looking for, Willy Chirino, Greatest Hits. I plan on purchasing his newest CD Pa'Lante, and probably will also purchase the 35th., anniversary special. The minute you hear the first track on Greatest Hits, you just want to get up and dance. Thank you Amazon for carrying the Willy Chirino CD's.
