Cristian Castro presents his new album "Viva el Principe. The album is a tribute to "El Principe de la Cancion- Jose Jose". Viva El Principe is not a Tribute like others done in the past. This album is fully approved by Jose Jose and it was produced by Rafael Perez Botija the composer and producer of many of Jose Jose's hits in the 70's and 80's.

Viva el Principe respects the original arrangements with a contemporary twist worthy of this era. This album maintains a classic sound that takes us to re-live those years of great romantic hits from one of Mexico's Greatest performers, "El Principe de la Cancion" but in the unique voice of Cristian Castro.

Tan hermosa letra en estas canciones tan clasicas. Es increible lo que puede inspirar esta musica que hoy esta disponible para una nueva generacion. Al comienzo no estaba seguro si Cristian pudiera hacerle justicia al interprete original. Pero indudablemente Cristian ha vuelto al estilo que mas le queda. Este es simplemente el mejor disco romantico del 2010.

I am not latina but I listen to nothing but latin music. I love the music of Jose Jose and this rendering and interpretation of his music by Cristian Castro is nothing short of magnificent. Cristian selected the best of the best of this music idol and revived it for a younger generation. My only regret is no DVR was made showing him perform these wonderful songs. For anyone who loved this CD..check out Marc Antony's latest and compare his interpretation of Jose Jose ....especially his version of Almohada..which is my favorite. Loved this CD

Increible como Cristian canta tan bien las canciones de Jose Jose. Me ha sorprendido. Aunque tengo todas esas canciones con Jose Jose, no pude dejar de comprar este album. Te felicito Cristian! Viva el principe!
