Summary: Awesome group 2008-08-24
Comment: Don't speak the language... but then again... Don't really care what they are talking about... good rhythms and vocals.... can't be offended by lyrics as I know not the meaning, but can still head bop with comfort.

Summary: Love this :-) 2008-07-30
Comment: To be honest, this is my first cd of Control Machete; I'd heard a song of theirs on a show and had to hear more. It's not the music I normally listen to, but I really enjoy this. I do love Latin music, hip hop, reggeaton and so I thought this would make sense that I'd like this. I have to say I'm not disappointed. I don't understand Spanish, but it doesn't matter; it's the music that I'm really enjoying and their delivery that I like.
My favourite songs on here is Como ves (the reason why I bought this in the first place), and El el camino. If you don't understand the lyrics, I find that that isn't a hinderance. It's still really good music and based on this performance, I'd definately look into getting some of their other work. This is great.

Summary: Best Control Machete album that ever released 2008-04-30
Comment: I'm not the biggest fan of Rap/Hip Hop music, but I think Uno, Dos: Bandera is one of the best Spanish Rap/Hip Hop album ever released. I like every track of this album and I highly recommend.

Summary: In my opinion, the best of Control Machete 2006-02-07
Comment: I requested several of Control Machete's albums for Christmas, and happened to receive this one first. I do not consider myself a hip-hop fan, nor do I speak very much Spanish. I read the reviews that perhaps implied that this album was not as good as the previous ones, but now in comparison I feel it is my favorite. Control Machete's previous albums were more reminiscent of earlier hip hop; their style was rough, their music unformed. This album is more polished and put together (perhaps to some people's dismay) but it has a much darker edge to it and is overall more fun for me than the other albums were. True, some of my favorite songs are on other albums, but overall I feel this album was the best investment as I truly appreciate each and every song. It has a quality to it that you can feel lacking in the earlier albums, and I could listen straight through this album again and again. If you are a first time experiencer of Control Machete, or perhaps have enjoyed a single or two, it is time to take the plunge and invest in one of the most creative groups around. You will not regret buying this CD.
