Before I start the review, I would first like to just clear one thing up. Los Lonely boys ::ASKED:: Salvador to redo "Heaven". Back to the review. I really enjoy this CD it has so much to offer. So Natural is different from any of the other albums Salvador has made in the past. Nic Gonzales (Lead vocals/Producer)has written and arranged all of the songs on the album with help from Chris Belvins (Piano/Producer) and Chris Rodriguez. One thing I love about So Natural is, it was recorded with all live instruments. The songs on this album are really not the funky, ::dance-till-you-drop:: kind of songs, like the former "Breathing Life" from "Into Motion" or "Ain't It good" from the self titled "Salvador". So natural is a new sound to Salvador. Its a mature and heartfelt album. The songs are uplifting to the soul. The Lyrics have hope in each word. For example the song "This is my life" goes to say ::Take my world of simple, misconceptions, nothing here will ever truly satisfy my soul. where...Read more

Good but could be better,

My girlfriend gave me this album for Christmas. I am a huge Salvador fan. There have been times where she's even been jealous, lol. For the record, the "'Heaven' scandle" is anything but. Salvador gives proper credit to Los Lonely Boys, and I'm sure LLB are very greatful that their song is getting played on Christian radio. It's a good song, and I'm a fan of both versions. I had hoped there would be more of a horn presence on this album. That's one of the things that first attracted me to Salvador was their blasting, bombastic horns on their first album. I also like that rough, acustic feel that they had on the first album. I know they've improved musically since then, and they've grown. I'm not trying to downplay their funk and say they should stick to Latin stuff. I do think, though, that the funk is great but it needs more Latin in it. I wish they would go more the accustic route instead of doing "cool" studio polishing to the music. They're an awesome live band, and an awesome jam...Read more

Awesome Christian Rock,

In the search for some quality Christian modern music, I came across Salvador when I heard their cover of "Heaven." These guys are fantastic! I thought I'd never find a band that was able to combine Christian themes with great, original music, but I finally found one. This is one of my favorite CD's in the past year. Not only do they have awesome musical chops, they also express their spirituality without sounding preachy -- their beliefs are very genuine and heartfelt. I love the Latin-tinged flavor of the songs. In short, if you're searching for good Christian music that rocks, you have found your salvation in Salvador.
