Summary: Superb album. 2010-02-09
Comment: An amazing album of Spanish language music that varies from energetic and catchy pop to traditional Mexican music. Every song is worthy of being a single, there is no filler in this album. On top of all this, my personal Best Song of 2009 - the Recuerdame duet with Marc Anthony. Just get it.

Summary: Excellent! 2009-12-21
Comment: Great collection of songs. I've had several people recommend La 5a Estacion to me because of my fondness for Amaral. While I still don't see much resemblance except for the superficial (vocals by a strong female voice, Spanish origin), I've come to appreciate La 5a Estacion for what they are. This album is a great mix of strong pop songs and more traditional Mexican-sounding songs, which works very well. Natalia Jimenez has a very strong, forceful voice that energizes the listener while still being quite pleasant to listen to. I have to comment on the similarity of her voice to the late Rocio Durcal's on certain songs - "Me Dueles," "Es Cierto, and especially "Quiereme Mucho." I don't know if this was a deliberate homage to another Spaniard who found musical success in Mexico, or just a lucky (at least for me) coincidence. I really enjoyed this album (I downloaded it via Amazon's MP3 store) and look forward to more great music from this group.
