Product Review
Description
Two unforgettable nights, one incredible artist: Roberto Carlos took to the stage on Thursday May 24 and Friday May 25, 2007, and wowed audiences with his greatest hits sung in Spanish. For fans of this legendary Brazilian artist,it was a much-awaited return.

Roberto Carlos had not performed in the U.S. for a decade. Returning to perform at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami (formerly: Carnival Center for The Performing Arts). Roberto Carlos performed two shows produced by Day 1 Entertainment; the incomparably talented singer and songwriter, backed up by his band E Coral, once again demonstrated why he has sold over 100 million records worldwide.

On the second night of "Roberto Carlos en Concierto," the performance was recorded for what will become Roberto Carlos' fi rst DVD ever in Spanish! Delighting the audience at the sold-out theater with classics such as `Emociones,' `Desahogo,' `El Día Que Me Quieras' and `Amigo,' among others. At the end of the concert, and after a standing ovation, Roberto Carlos came back and performed to three encores as a gesture of gratitude to his loyal fans and audience.

Portuguese-speaking fans and lovers of Roberto Carlos' songs in his native language were also acknowledged with the song `Acrostico.' This "Live" performance will delight all fans of Roberto Carlos for many years to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Roberto Carlos at the top of his game, January 22, 2010

This review is from: En Vivo [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I travelled from Massachusetts to Miami to see this show, along with a friend and my brother who lived in Florida at the time and I did not regret it. Roberto Carlos is still at the top of his game. Vocally, he is still in great form. There is really not much else I can say except that he has accomplished it all during his amazing career. What a singer! I have both the standard DVD and the Blue Ray format of this concert and while the Blue Ray has a better picture, the standard DVD has a better sound. I would encourage anyone to invest in this product as I believe you will not be disappointed. The show was spectacular.

5.0 out of 5 stars He Didn't Know What was Coming......, December 17, 2010

This review is from: Roberto Carlos: En Vivo (DVD)
Please note: Amazon has screwed up again. They indicate this review is from December 17, 2010. Wrong! I wrote it March 1, 2011. Of course informing them of their mistake gets me nowhere.
---------------------

I wrote a review of RC's "Pra Sempre - Ao vivo no Pacaembu" concert in Brasil in 2004 and in it I said I liked that concert better than the "En Vivo" concert in Miami. Well - I've changed my mind. You have to get both of them, and let me tell you why.
They are two very different concerts. He was still deep in grief when he made the "Pra Sempre..." concert. That one is quite reflective and the most serious of any performance I've seen of his. It has more songs (23) but with "En Vivo", made about 3 years later, he is having fun. He didn't know then that his mother would pass while he was on stage in Radio City Music Hall in April,2010, three days before his birthday. Since then, he has remained his reclusive self, except for the annual Christmas...Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a high definition concert, August 13, 2009

This review is from: En Vivo [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
I got this blue-ray concert, but I was really desappointed after find out that it was recorder with digital cameras and not high definition cameras, I would had enjoy it better in high definition. Also the cameras were just focusing on Roberto Carlos all of the time when some more shots could be taken from the rest of the musicians and the audience, the backgroud was to simple. But his songs are amazing, his one of the best latin america's singers.
