This CD contains Yanni's more reflective, romantic songs some of which are unparelled in their mastery. Songs like "After the Sunrise", "Nostalgia", and "Reflections of Passion" are simply unbelievably well composed and performed, and are definitive representatives of earlier Yanni sounds. Two new tracks were added especially for this album,"True nature", and "Flight of Fantasy", which features seamless flowing of melodies that takes you into the world of Fantasy. This is one of the best new age albums out there, period.

If you want some of the best music Yanni has to offer, this is a great CD to get. I have since bought many other Yanni CDs, but this remains my favorite.

Some may say the music of Yanni is syrupy, saccharine, musically light and full of stylistic cliches, and they're probably right, but sometimes ... that's exactly what you need! I do, anyway. There is an undeniable energy to this music that captures the attention, moves, motivates and tugs at the heartstrings. I think what I like most about his style is that while it does have some depth, it doesn't brood and wallow in it. Many of Yanni's full-voiced keyboard compositions are cheerful, set in major keys, and while some of the musical motifs are a undeniably trite, the compositions do build and change, developing a rich, diverse texture. "Reflections of Passion" gathers together some of the best--great music to play during periods of emotional release and healing. Just listen and look upwards, and you'll find a spot of sunshine to appreciate on any cloudy day.
