Extraordinary Voice,

I am stunned that no review is posted before now. It seems few people have had the pleasure of hearing Señorita Herrrera. That's a pity. But then, I stumbled upon her website by accident. Everyone who's heard me play her music wants to know who she is. Right now, the best answer seems to be directly from her label in Mexico City. The best description I can give you is that her voice evokes a blossoming waterfall. Her recordings are few and hard to find. Will someone please promote this talent? Thankfully, Amazon has Orquídeas Susurrantes. (Whispering Orchids is an apropos description of her flowing voice.) But why doesn't anyone (including Amazon) carry País Marivilla? This latter reveals a more mature, refined and confident vocalist. Magos is a genuine treasure. Her music will lift your soul. Just listen.

Blissfull and mellow to consider our own,

I had the biggest of lucks to actually see and hear her perform at La Condesa in Mexico City, and instantly fell in love with her voice and charisma through the jazzy bossa rythms she masters so well. Magos delivers such beautiful and distinct sound through a highly educated and trained voice that I am also shocked that she's not that widely promoted. There's power, sentiment, intimacy, drama, confidentiality, in every song.
This is the material I heard first and the one that made me love her sound. Some are covers from original Brazilian songs sung in portuguese, which also speak of the genuine love and sensibility for latin music. Pais Maravilla is a more developed and polished production, but the quality of Orquideas Susurrantes makes it a "must-have" initiator into this Mexican Diva's world.

Good recording, not great.
Her vocals are very good, but to my own opinion, she should sing more joyful songs; this collection seems too mellow, too sad. Just-good songs, nothing worth praising.
