5.0 out of 5 stars A sultry mix of latin and trip hop music, February 3, 2009

Last year I discovered Natalia Clavier through Myspace. I had never heard of her and I really haven't heard much of Thievery Corporation's music (a group she has collaborates with quite often). I was immediately hooked into her brand of latin fused trip hop music when I heard samples of her music. For some odd reason it took me awhile to finally get around to buying her album NECTAR. I wish I hadn't procrastinated so long in buying the album. NECTAR is a charming fusion of traditional and modern music. I find the album very comforting to listen to when I get home from the office. The music is mellow but never boring. Natalia's vocals are very sensuous. They remind me of ex-Olive singer Ruth-Ann. I normally do not listen or enjoy latin music but I really dug Natalia's music, probably because the latin melodies is fused with modern trip hop beats. 5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the most sultry voice ever, September 10, 2008

You probably don't know the name, but you may recognize the voice, as she supplies vocals for most of the best tracks on Federico Aubele's "Panamericana," including the haunting "Maria Jose." Don't expect the same kind of guitar work here; her own music is a little more trip hop, ambient, perhaps even ultralounge, but with a distinct Latin flavor. Clavier could sing almost anything, though, and make it sound good. Her voice is a soothing aural pillow, only it won't put you to sleep! You will want to wrap yourself up in sound of her mellifluous voice time and again.

Now, if only I understood the lyrics!

I have been hearing Natalias voice for quite sometime being a Thievery and Fredrico fan and I have always liked it. This cd is solid, nice production but the flow is a little choppy. I am sure he next cd will be better but this one is really good.
