I don't remember how I came across this CD by this artist, but I consider it one of those unexpected gifts from the universe.

The style of music overlaps Classical, Flamenco, Mediterranean Folk, Celtic Folk, and a number of modern genre's that I can't name.

My sixteen year-old son, who likes the music of his generation, got in the car while I had this CD playing, and he loved it then and requested it again at a later date.

Every piece on this CD has its own melodic charm and creates an emotional flow that drifts from the ironic to the nostalgic to the epic in mood.

Any of the selections could serve as the title or representative piece.

I have several sound systems in my two cars, my family room, and at my main computer, but I prefer to listen to good music on high quality headphones with a dedicated headphone amplifier.

A splendid collection of music pieces from Sardinia, played by a great (apparently self-taught) guitarist and accompanied by a variety of traditional Sardinian instruments. Truly a gem. If you are looking for some beautiful Italian folk music from the "mezzogiorno" (the South of Italy), ARC Music is a great label who offers some truly marvelous CDs. See, for instance, "Music of Sicily" and "The legend of the Italian Tarantella".

If you enjoy world music, classical guitar, or Nuevo Flamenco you will love this CD. Ranging from quietly beautiful to happily upbeat each piece is distinct. I, too, wish Marino De Rosas would create another CD - for I would have no hesitation in buying it!!!
