Five BEAUTIFUL Stars! Brazil's Eliane Elias' latest CD combines all of the talents that have made the composer, arranger, singer, and pianist a musical giant for over 20 years on the worldwide jazz and Brazilian popular music (MPB) stages. This review is from: Light My Fire (Audio CD)
Eliane Elias has done it again! Teaming with Gilberto Gil, daughter Amanda Brecker and a stellar group of musicians, Ms Elias has given us another passionate, beautiful, multi-cultural release. Standouts include "Take Five", "Light My Fire" and "My Cherie Amour"(with Randy Brecker on trumpet), "Made In Moonlight", "Turn To Me (Samba Maracatu)", "Bananeira" and "Stay Cool".
This album is a perfect follow-up to "Bossa Nova Stories" and I highly recommend it.

Eliane Elias is from Sao Paulo, Brazil & has released over 20 albums over the years. Stand-outs/gems/solid tracks are "Isto Aqui O Que E'(Silvet Sandal)" (up-tempo track with wonderful guitar & vocals), "Bananeira" (beautiful melody,guitar/piano combination & vocals) & "Made In Moonlight" (wonderful orchestral base track with great guitar/piano pick-ups & vocals). Great tracks include "Rosa Morena" (great drum/keyboard combination & vocals), "Stay Cool", "Aquele Abraco" (great Spanish orchestral track with Spanish lyrics creating a wonderful duet), "Light My Fire" (The Doors/Jim Morrison cover & title track), "My Cherie Armour" (a great remake of this Stevie Wonder classic), "Toda Menina Baiana" (up-tempo track with great guitar/keyboard combination), "Turn To Me(Samba Maracatu')" (up-tempo Spanish duet), "Take Five" (great...Read more
