This review is from: Juntos Para Siempre (Audio CD) In this album, cuban piano virtuosos and exceptionally talented composers Bebo and Chucho Valdes, father and son, got together somewhere in Spain to record this joint effort and example of their musical greatness. Also included in this great album are songs each one composed in honor of the other. Many good things can be said about this joint effort, but in my opinion, let it suffice to say that each are a credit to Cuban music and its history, aside from being authorities in the world of "Afro-Cuban Jazz".
I highly recommend this album by both the great Bebo and his son "Chucho" Valdes, two immortals of our cuban and latin american music. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Juntos Para Siempre (Audio CD) This album was recorded by Javier Limon. He produced the super smooth sounding "Terra" by Mariza. Chucho Valdes appeared on that album and also on Ry Cooder's "Chavez Ravine". Chucho's earlier "Religion of The Congo" is, in my opinion, an amazingly good album. "Juntos para Siempre" sounds restrained in comparison. Each pianist does a solo and the rest is a playful jazzy balance of two pianos. I enjoy this fine music in the morning when the full frontal blast of an electric guitar would be overwhelming. |
