Summary: Outstanding = One of My 2 Essential Strunz & Farah CDs !!! 2007-10-20
Comment: after having had the privilege of learning, listening & totally enjoying the music & guitar sounds of maestro Jorge Strunz for close to 4 decades from his D.C. based jazz fusion band "Spectrum" thru "Caldera" & almost 30 years of "S&F"... i have to say that this is my favorite recording of Jorge's vast recording legacy as the unifying "ritmo latino" theme, South American style & subtle textural dynamics of the mix of this compilation speak most deeply to my heart & mind ! both this "Jungle Guitars' CD as well as "Desert Guitars" CD share this themeatic, & dynamic unity of production- yet it is the South American theme of this particular CD that resonates most profoundly w/ my heart in it's rhytms !!! the 2 CDs complement each other perfectly as each CD features the different influences that each member of this awesome acoustic guitar duo: Jungle features Strunz's South American roots more & Desert features Farah's Middle Eastern roots... both CDs are exquisite productions & beauty-full sonic environments to study, listen to, live in & enjoy as well as the most exceptional compilations of this dynamic duo's recording legacy... so far... i recommend both CDs as the best place for new fans to begin their collection of this phenomenal acoustic guitar experience... Bravo Maestro Strunz for these diadems of guitaristic virtuosity !!! Outstanding !!!

Summary: a wonderful compilation 2006-12-13
Comment: This disc, and the "desert guitars" disc both offer a geat introduction to Strunz & Farah. There are many "nuevo flamenco" artists out there these days but nobody compares to Strunz & Farah. Two virtuosos! They are both incredible soloists and the backgrounds flow beautifully behind their guitars. No annoying synth backgrounds either. Just flowing bass and percussion. And see them live if you have the chance. They are even better live than on record.

Comment: Nueva Flamenco in the Latin Jungle. Way cool. My first Strunz & Farah CD. Not my last, if they're all this good.
