1 of 1 people found the following review helpful:  A very strong set of contemporary Salsa., By This review is from: Irrepetible (Audio CD) If this new CD breaks no new ground for Gilberto, then it certainly reaffirms what has been evident all along: Gilberto is one of the best Salsa singers to have come to prominence during the past 30 years or so. His duets with legendary Merengue singer Johnny Ventura and the Salsa icon Ruben Blades are this CD's high points but Gilberto is (vocally) in fine form throughout the entire CD and he never fails to deliver. Both the late great Tommy Olivencia and the equally great Willie Rosario recognized Gilberto's talents when they hired him as a singer at the start of the 1980s and this CD's contents show just how right they were when they made that decision.
