Summary: Viva Lucha Villa! 2000-06-25
Comment: As always, her distinctive voice, talent and stardom shine! Lucha singing Juan Gabriel is indigenous to the pride of Mexico. I have several old albums from my late Father's collection, yet I speak no Spanish! In 1972 when I was 14 years old, my Grandma and my Mother took me to see her perform at the Fairfax Theater in Oakland, CA. It was truly electrifying when she came on stage. Everyone stood on their feet and the noise was dizzying with screaming fans. After her performance we ran backstage to see her but she was gone. I'll never forget the sad look on my Grandma's face - she was Lucha's Tia.

Summary: I Love Lucha Villa 2000-01-08
Comment: Her huskey voice is one of the true treasures of Mexico's heritage. There is no one else like her. I have scoured music stores in various parts of Mexico for every recording I've ever been able to find by her. I have over 20 now.
