Summary: A Consumate Jazz Singer 2007-12-25
Comment: If ever you thought that with the pasing of such greats as Ella and Sarah the art would be lost with them, you can rest easy. Karrin Allyson can do it all. My personal favourite tracks are "Stompin at the Savoy" and "Pack Your Suitcase Blues" but then I like it to "swing" and these tracks sure do that. That said I enjoyed every track on this CD. The song selection is great! And don't forget the "musos". Karrin has great backing from them which makes it all work.

Comment: both heart-rending and footstomping. i played this album on my 2-hour jazz radio show last week and got great comments. Check out "Nature Boy" especially (in my opinion, the best since Nat King Cole).

Comment: Did you know Antonio Carlos Jobim composed "How Insensitive" based on Chopin's Prelude Opus 28? Ms. Allyson got it and performed one the best vocal renditions ever. Great!

Summary: What an amazing young woman! 2001-06-15
Comment: Karrin Allyson's voice is like butter on the tongue.. so rich and warm and voluptuous. She makes a song you've known all your life sound new and fresh, and dedicated to YOU. Listen to a couple of tracks... but go get your credit card first :)
