Summary: A good Mexican music album 2007-01-26
Comment: An album with passionante songs, color, life, energy and authentic Mexican spirit.
I like Vicente Fernandez voice, especially when he stresses some words in full voice and the voice sounds a bit rough.
Good music , good sound.

Summary: A must have ..... 2004-12-23
Comment: This compilation with Historia de un Idolo 1 is a must have for every Vicente Fernandez fan, fans of rancheras, and those who love Mexican music. This CD contains some of his most popular songs like Volver, Volver and De Que Manera te Olvido. The 2 compilations Historia 1 & 2 also has sn interview with Vicente Fernandez in the cover and some wonderful pictures including him recieving his star on the Walk of Fame. I was fortunate to see him live in Madison Sq. Garden last October and I was amazed at his voice, still beautiful and powerful as ever. He sang for two and haft hours without intermission. He is indeed a legend.....

Summary: A must have for fans of "El Rey"! 2003-01-14
Comment: This CD is outstanding! Even those who burn thier own CD's would have a tough time putting together a greater collection of gutsy and classic Chente performances. This disc includes perhaps his best-known and loved tune (Volver, Volver) and many other really superb songs ranging from very early to very recent in his career. In my view, great variety and choice of tunes from start to finish make this one of his best, better even than "Historia, Vol. 1" which is a very good CD as well. If you are a Vicente Fernandez fan but don't wish to go broke trying to purchase 50-plus CD's to get most of his greatest songs, one of your first Chente discs should be this one. "Historia De Un Idolo, Vol. II" easily earns five stars, even when compared to the rest of Chente's outstanding and abundant catalog of music.
