Product Description
"We wanted this cd to be just like what you would hear at a club," says guitarist Adrian Quesada. "Unlike the band's last album, Movimiento Popular," he says, "It doesn't sound very produced; it's just how we sound. We are being a little more adventurous with the material." Adds vocalist, percussionist and primary songwriter Jose Galeano: "We have our roots and backbone, from the old school, meaning the late 60, 70s, all the influences that we had including R&B and rock, classic rock. We are trying to bring to Fantasma different styles of Latin music, but still all danceable, no matter if we jump from a cumbia to a salsa to a merengue to even a hip-hop beat. We like to catch people off guard."

Summary: Just try keeping your foot still! 2008-11-25
Comment: This is a great recording of Austin's best Latin dance band, Grupo Fantasma. I had the pleasure of seeing them last summer and by the second set, everyone was on their feet. The rhythm's are infectious and this well recorded set shows why. Punchy horns, rockin' guitar, and awesome percussion.Their studio recordings are great but nothing like their live show.Until I get a chance to see them again, I'll have to settle for this rockin' live show!
