This cd is a merging of latin music(s) and cutting edge electronica. Senior Coconut (Atom Heart of Flanger fame) also does a cd of latin styled Kraftwerk songs (five stars for that as well) but unlike that vocal oriented cd, this cd is mainly instrumental (with ocasional background-vocal embellishments). The production is astounding -very precise and clean and the sheer invention of the electronics and sampled music is downright inspiring. It's very danceble but I like it for working on the computer as it puts me in a cyber-kind of mood. It states at the bottom of the cd cover 'triggering the latin subconscious' which really sums it up. It's fun, far-out, at times surreal, and most of all groovey! Some tracks are mad/scientist/latin-pop while others are cool, mellow and mysterioso like one of my favorites, 'La Noche Cool' -serene tropical dream music.
