Summary: A Great Latin Album 2008-12-11
Comment: As the first of the Annual Latin Grammy CDs it starts with a bang. A two-disc set you get a bunch of great hits and the most noted songs of the year. My two favorites are "Pintate los Labios Maria" for its trumpet playing and whimsical style and "El niagara en bicicleta", a very funny song if you look up the translation. Giving the CD one star because it's not in English seems odd since that's not a review of the music, but of the language. If you LIKE Latin music in its original language, then be sure to pick this one up. It's great fun and a hit at Salsa dance parties.

Comment: If you want to hear a great compilation of the best Latin songs this year- this is the album! From Ruben Blades' "Dia a Dia" to Tito Puente's "Mambo Birdland" - the rhythms are pure pleasure! Don't miss Luis Miguel - what a beautiful, romantic song. Every song on this album is terrific. A great collection of latin musical styles by accomplished artists that is sure to please!
