Summary: Lástima que usan pista en algunos temas... 2008-09-18
Comment: Fuese perfecto si fuese completamente en vivo lo cual no lo es. No sé quién tomó la decisión de recurrir a usar pistas (Lástima que seas ajean por ejemplo se oye idéntica a la versión estudio) en algunos de los temas. La selección de temas y sonido son excelentes. Lo único malo es que dos o tres temas no son cantados en vivo. Igual, merece ser comprado.

Comment: I don't usually buy live recordings because sometimes the sound quality is not good but being a big fan of Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez , I just have to have this and I was very surprised at the excellent sound quality. I love the song selection including some great duets like " Perdon ". Also is a very touching " Cuando yo queria ser grande ", sung by Alejandro and dedicated to his father. I love this CD and listen to it all the time, a wonderful compilation of the greatest hits of Alejandro and Vicente Fernandez. I wish it is available on DVD.

Comment: Primero que nada, me encanta la música de Alejandro y Vicente Fernández y, por eso, decidí comprar este disco. Pensé que iba a ser tan bonito como el de Alejandro llamado «Un canto de México», que también fue grabado en vivo, pero, desafortunadamente, no lo es. Sí, las voces son bonitas y la la selección de canciones me gusta. Sin embargo, no me gusta escuchar tanto aplauso, ni mucho menos el cantar del auditorio. Quizás este concierto fuera divertido, pero eso no quiere decir que se transforme en un buen disco.

Summary: fabulous voices, great show 2003-11-12
Comment: This exuberant collection of concert recordings is a robust fiesta, with a lot of love shared between these two Mexican icons and their audience, and it is also historical, capturing for perhaps the last time father and son, El Gran Garañon y El Potrillo, who have been on tour together for about two years.
Their powerful voices are marvelous separate or together, as they share equal time singing their solo hits, and join up for 4 duets, from "Amor de los Dos", which was Alejandro's first recording when he was 19, and started him out on a singing career, to the spectacular "Perdon", with a soaring interpretation of this gorgeous melody by these perfectly blended voices. Other memorable highlights are "Cuando Yo Queria Ser Grande", sung movingly by Alejandro to his father, and a long, slightly modernized version of the exquisite "Como Quien Pierde una Estrella", which was a big hit for Alejandro in 1995. Vicente has many shining moments, like "Me Voy a Quitar de en Medio", and he really knows how to work the crowd, who respond to him with wild appreciation.I personally don't care for the overall sound quality, which suffers sometimes from the same complaint I had seeing them live at the Universal Amphitheater, where the over-amplification was deafening, and caused a lack of clarity; nevertheless, one must make allowances for live recordings, and for fans of Vicente and Alejandro, this set is a must, to join with the audience with a big cheer. The foldout insert has little more than a song list, and total time for disc # 1 is 46'27, and disc # 2, 63'46.
