Summary: How Did I Miss This One?! 2003-07-20
Comment: This is one of those cd's that I bought and just kind of forgot about it. I suppose it was partly because I was not crazy about the two songs they picked for singles (Como tu, La vida no es igual). Well, let me tell you now after having listened like 50 times in the last week, this is a brlliliantly dark and complex album. "Secreto", "Viaje astral", "Por un beso" and "Ultimo planeta" are among the veteran's very best (which is saying alot). Saul's lyrics as always are intelligent, at times abstract, the vocals are top notch (Saul has a natrual sadness in his voice, which seems as if it is directly from his tortured soul). The music is well orchestrated and executed, and there is enough variety in the rythems and pace so to keep it fresh throughout.Definitly add this to your collection.

Summary: One of the Best Rock Groups ever 2002-07-19
Comment: What can I add to this already spectacular album. If I thought Jaguares were the best before (even with Caifanes), this album proves it more so. Jaguares is a combination of different rock style all in one. Saul Hernandez words make it even more interesting to listen to this music. I've lent this album to a couple of people who either didn't like Jaguares or didn't even know who they were, and now they too are fans. Even my mother likes them and she used to love Mana. Now she is a bigger fan of Jaguares. I like Mana a lot as well as Soda Sterio, Heroes Del Silencio, just to name a few. But Jaguares music somehow touches peoples heart in a particular way. Every single song in this album is worth listening even if you are not a big fan.

Summary: Beautiful 2002-03-12
Comment: This was the first Jaguares CD I bought and I have to say that I'm not in the least bit disappointed. The lyrics are beautiful and soulful - real poetry. I can listen to this entire CD through without skipping any tracks and I think that really says a lot for the band. I saw them live last night at the TLA in Philadelphia and they put on a helluva show. So much energy, so much talent, simply fantastic. If you ever get a chance, see them live. They work with the crowd instead of a lot of bands who distance themselves from the very people whom they should be trying to connect with. But yes, this CD is well worth the buying. Even if you don't speak a single word of Spanish, get it. The music alone is a good enough reason. You won't regret it.

Summary: a bit disappointing 2002-01-31
Comment: While many Jaguares/caifanes fans was disappointed with "Bajo el azul de tu misterio"I was disappointed with this. It begun with the horrible song "Como tu", fortunitialy the other songs are better, but not much better I am afraid. There are a couple of songs here which almost are on the same level as their other albums "El secreto" a really catchy punk/rock song(the first song I liked here), "Vijae Astral" a rock/pop song, and "Viejo el mundo" is very good!. But the others kind of goes in the one ear and out the other, track 4 is great. La vida no es igual is original, but not in my cup of tea. I just felt that I had heard al this before by other groups. But then again it is much better then al the Mtv rock out there thats for sure!
