Summary: The Romantic songs of Pedro Infante 2006-09-02
Comment: It is a great classic CD of Mexican history. Unfortunately, the recoding quality could be a little better. While you hear very little scratching in the background, the volume quality is not stable through the whole CD. It needs to be remastered a little better. Nevertheless, we should remember that these songs were recorded on the 40-50s and you cannot expect the same crispy quality as today studio recordings.
Pedro Infante continues to conquer our hearts with his great movies and songs broadcasted on TV and the radio

Summary: Beautiful songs, Wonderful Voice... Pedro, donde estas? 2006-07-24
Comment: This is a great album and a good one to start a Pedro Infante collection. His warm, romantic voice combined with the great mariachi accompaniment--superb!! El jazmin deshojado is a beautiful song; the lyrics are pure poetry, the melody is gorgeous.
One minor quibble: Many of these songs are not boleros, but waltzes and rancheras. It doesn't matter, but the title should be something like "Canciones romanticas de oro".

Summary: Great album 2005-09-21
Comment: Great voice and great songs. There were 2 other singers that could match him even beat him at singing and they are Javier Solis and Jorge Negrete but Pedro Infante was a better actor and you can hear how he input his acting skills on the song "Te he de querer". My favorite songs on this album and probably amongst all of his songs are "100 anios", "Flor sin retonio" and his famous "Amorcito Corazon" from the movie "Nosotros los pobres" where he plays the great character 'Pepe el toro' (Pepe the bull) [pepe is a spanish short name for Jose]. What does all this info have todo with this album?...LOL no idea, just wanted to write it.

Summary: THIS SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST PEDRO INFANTE CD 2002-10-25
Comment: If you are fond of listening to boleros and want to buy a cd this is the FIRST cd you should get. This cd is a classic. I bought this on the Peerless label a while back so it was kind of expensive because it was imported. but now WEA did some deal with Peerless(to my surprise because Peerless was reluctant to accede to any foreign company) and WEA re-released his cd's but at a cheaper price(great!). DO NOT BUY PEDRO INFANTE ON ORFEON. ONLY on Peerless WEA. Peerless did a good job in safeguarding Pedro Infante's classic music. I am not from that era( I was born in the seventies) but I must say his voice I have not seen a match yet. This cd is a must since it contains his most known songs like Amorcito Corazon.
