This review is from: 100 Boleros De Amor 2 (Audio CD)
In this sequel to the first box set, "100 Boleros de Amor",Vol.2 also features a long list of latino music giants, recorded by Mexico's legendary "Orfeon" label in what can be called as "the biggest bolero compilation ever put together and re-issued. Manolo Munoz, Bola de Nieve, Alberto Vazquez, Sonia Von Kebler "La Unica", Lucho Gatica, Los 4 Hermanos Silva, Celio Gonzalez, Los Dandys, Maria Victoria, Olga Guillot,Los Tres Diamantes, Los Galantes, Ton~a La Negra, Los Tres Ases, (Exitos)De Los Panchos, etc. are all in this mega-compilation, singing superb all time romantic music in its preferred form, the immortal "BOLERO". Just like Volume 1, this is a must buy for all bolero and latin music fans!

Don't take the three stars to mean I don't like the set, I do. It just means there is nothing here in the realm of musical greatness. There are a several artists presented besides Los Panchos I like very much, such as Los Tres Reyes and Daniel Santos. But some of the recordings are so cheesy that I was amused in addition to being entertained. I like the format of the set where the better-known or more prolific artists are allotted one song on each CD, while those lesser-known or who were one-hit-wonders are...Read more
